Hey, I’m doctor Lee. I’m from Eclipse, Eye Care. I’m an optometrist and I had the EVO ICL surgery recently. I was wearing glasses and contacts for roughly 25 years. It’s kind of nice to not have to worry about constantly wearing glasses or contacts at this point. Mostly because I had a newborn, so I didn’t want to have my child kind of grab up my glasses.
It’s been about a year now since I’ve had my surgery, and it’s been really nice not having to worry about glasses or contacts. It’s giving me the time to really experience fully what the patients go through when it comes to having these surgeries. And honestly, it’s been fantastic. My eyes feel very light and my vision has been better than it’s ever been.
A common concern that patients have is the fact that you’re awake during surgery. And myself, being someone who is pretty uncomfortable with surgeries, I must say it’s really straightforward, and it’s something that they will make sure you’re very comfortable with. You’re not going to feel anything. And the surgery itself is very quick.
