Cataract Surgery
Our cataract surgery team is one of the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s most trusted, and that loyalty lies in our experience, dedication, and skill using the latest technologies to deliver excellent vision results.
We utilize the Pentacam® AXL to precisely measure your eyes ahead of surgery, which gives our doctors a full picture of your eye health and lenses. Our surgeons use LENSAR®, a state-of-the-art laser system that gives them complete control in replacing your eye’s lens for better vision.
And to deliver post-cataract surgery clarity that meets the demands of your day-to-day life, our expert team offers vision packages: enhancements that can improve your eyesight even beyond where it was before cataracts! Each of our vision packages use the latest artificial lenses for some of the most substantial vision correction in the industry.
Types of Refractive Errors
A refractive error is a vision condition that makes it hard to see clearly because your eye shape prevents light from correctly focusing on your retina. Refractive errors are among the most common types of vision issues, but there are several specific types of errors, each with their own treatments.

Myopia
Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a common condition where an elongated eye makes objects in the distance appear blurry or distorted.

Hyperopia
Hyperopia, or farsightedness, is when your abnormally flat eyes can see distant objects clearly, but nearby objects are blurred and out of focus.

Presbyopia
Presbyopia is the natural lens’ gradual loss of the ability to focus on nearby objects and is a natural, but correctable, part of aging.

Astigmatism
Astigmatism is an imperfection in the curvature of your eye’s cornea that is more irregular than with myopia or hyperopia.

Lasik
Our team is an experienced provider of the life-changing LASIK surgery and is well-known for the fantastic outcomes they achieve. Dr. Strange has performed thousands of successful procedures and is proud to use the WaveLight® Contoura™ Topography Guided LASIK system for ultraprecise results and even smoother recovery.
Smile
PRK
Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is a common laser vision correction procedure that can be a terrific option for patients who may not be qualified for LASIK. PRK provides nearly identical results as LASIK using a slightly different process to alter the eye’s shape that can be great for people with thin corneal tissue or very active lifestyles.
RLE
Refractive lens exchange (RLE) is a corrective vision surgery that can be another excellent alternative to LASIK for certain patients. This procedure is similar to cataract surgery, but rather than removing cataracts, it replaces your lens with an artificial vision-enhancing lens to correct your eyesight. This has the added benefit of preventing cataracts from ever forming!
ICL
The implantable contact lens (ICL) is an artificial lens that can be surgically inserted into your eye for significant correction. We’re proud to use the EVO Visian ICL™, an exciting and flexible choice for patients with myopia and astigmatism: not only are more people eligible for it, and not only does it cause minimal to no dry eye, but it can also be removed or replaced if your vision changes later in life.
